1941年12月25日是香港历史上的“黑色圣诞日”.在一万五千多英军抵抗18天之后,时任港督杨慕琦宣布向日军投降,香港沦陷.从此,香港开始了3年零8个月黑暗的日占时期.沦陷期间,日军不仅在政治、军事上对香港进行了残酷的统治,而且进行疯狂的经济掠夺,给初步繁荣的香港经济造成惨病的损失.
