6月25日中午得知王伟同志住院,办公室还遵嘱转达他问文联老同志安好并谢谢过去多年合作。我还来不及去医院看望,几个小时后就惊悉他已故去,我不能相信也难以面对这么短的时间内他竟溘然长逝!我知道丧事从简是他弥留之际的口述遗愿,显现他生前严谨自律,默默奉献,身后又不愿人们颂扬他的业绩的崇高情操,更令人深切痛惜和肃然起敬。王伟同志是大家敬重的资深编辑,人们都赞许他的政策水平和文学造诣。尤其是他担任《滇池》
At noon on June 25, we learned that Comrade Wang Wei was hospitalized. The office also obeyed and asked him to convey his regards to the old comrade Wenlian and to thank for his many years of cooperation.
