新乡引黄灌区微向东北倾斜,地面坡度为1/3000—1/5000左右,天然排水不好,属于地下水缓流区,有局部是滞流区.由于灌排工程不配套,灌溉管理制度不严,用水无节制,渠道渗漏严重,利用系数平均为0.4—0.5,再加上忽视排水,因此,导致灌区水文地质发生重大变化,突出表现在地下水位的上升和水盐动态新的不平衡.
