In the teaching of senior grade in primary school, mind mapping is a kind of teaching strategy and method, which plays an important role in cultivating students’ reading ability. Mind maps can reinforce students’ learning outcomes and help students better understand learning content. For senior students, it is a process of learning to understand content in the process of drawing. This process can effectively improve their abilities. Mind map in English reading teaching, with the characteristics of sequence and integrity, can help students establish a sound system of knowledge. The paper analyzes in detail the application of the mind map in the English reading teaching in senior grade to improve the quality of primary school English reading teaching.
