据世界自然基金会(WWF)与世界资源研究所的研究报告显示,由于水坝建设威胁淡水生态系统,全球有21条河流及其流域生态严重退化,其中我国的长江、南美的拉普拉塔河和中东地区的底格里斯河与幼发拉底河是受害最严重的河流。
According to a study by WWF and the World Resources Institute, there are 21 rivers and their basins in the world that are seriously degraded because of the threat to freshwater ecosystems. Among them, the Yangtze River in China and the La Plata River in South America And the Tigris and the Euphrates in the Middle East are the hardest hit rivers.
