1992年12月18日在北京召开了全国职业病防治工作会议。会议上,卫生部副部长何界生指出:今后,劳动卫生职业病防治工作仍是一项长期、艰巨的任务。提出90年代将工作重点放在尘肺病、职业中毒中,同时要兼顾职业性肿瘤等其它职业病。到90年代末,我国的职业病防治工作要达到使劳动条件有较大改善,尘肺病、职业中毒等主要职业病应有所控制,职业病防治法律制度建设及相应的卫生监督体系基本建立,职业卫生服务质量及管理水平、专业人员素质有较大提高的总目标。会议还讨论和制定了90年代全国职业病防治工作规则纲要。
