大悟县地处鄂豫边区,大别山南麓,是全国著名的革命老区,也是国家重点扶持开发的贫困山区县,全县国土面积1985平方公里,辖19个乡镇,总人口56万。自1984年来,国家采取以工代赈的方式进行扶贫开发,先后投入大悟县以工代赈物资折1128.732万元,在省市计委指导和帮助下,大悟抓住“输血”机遇,增强“造血”功能,使以工代赈的工作取得显著成效,截止1993年底,全县以工代赈新修公路134.9公里,改
Dawu County is located in the Hubei-Henan border region, south of the Dabie Mountains. It is a famous old revolutionary base in the country.
