在通常情况下,定性研究是定量研究的基础,定量研究又是定性研究的深化和精确化。在没有对事物进行定量分析并找到其质量的数量界限以前,我们对事物质的认识还是初步或粗略的,因而对实践很难提出十分明确的具体指导。调查研究活动作为事主在一定时间内有目的地认识事物的实践活动,也必须对调查对象加以定量分析,这是一个必经的认识过程或工作程序。为了进一步提高在调查研究活动中的定量分析水平.有必要分析和把握好若干定量分析的规律性东西。以便进一步提高调查研究的工作质量。
