本文以福柯的规训与惩罚的理论和知识与权力的理论对弗兰克.诺里斯的名著《麦克提格》进行解读,探讨小说中美国现代社会的权力不公对小说主人公麦克提格这样的身处社会边沿人物的生存状态的影响。小说对权力不公的揭露,体现了文本对弱势群体生死困境的关注和对社会权力运行的深刻反思。
This article uses Foucault’s theory of discipline and punishment as well as the theory of knowledge and power to interpret Frank Norris’s famous book McIntyre and to explore the power inequality of the modern American society in the novel. The impact of the living status of the social frontier. The unfair disclosure of the novel reflects the focus of the text on the predicament of the disadvantaged and the profound reflection on the operation of social power.
