莱芜长勺鼓乐与当地民俗相伴相生,在村落民俗活动中逐渐形成独有的表演形态,对村落文化的存在及发展起着重要的支撑和推动作用。随着社会的发展、传统习俗的减少,长勺鼓乐的文化内涵以及社会功能等发生了一系列的变化。从生活整体出发,为传承长勺鼓乐提供深厚的土壤是保护和发展这一民间艺术的关键。
