天津塘沽海河开启桥是一座城市公路桥梁。该桥于1981年开始勘测设计,已于1982年12月动工,计划1985年建成。大桥工程总造价约2500万元,技术经济指标为2082元/m~2。该桥建成后不仅解决塘沽地区海河两岸的交通困难问题,而且有利于港口贸易和地方工农业的发展,有利于海河南岸近十平方公里盐碱荒地的开发利用。所以大桥投入使用后将获得相当可观的经济效益。
