In this formerly known “Ceylon” paradise, the lush tropical plants cover almost the entire island. Central undulating hills, boundless. This huge network of railways links the islands to the capital, Colombo, and radiates into the central, southwestern and northern regions. The country’s 1944 km railroad consists of 10 wide gauge railroad lines that roam through the verdant forest and stretch along the azure sea to the end of the island. Today, traveling by train has become a new option for travel in Sri Lanka.
