《共产党宣言》中文全译本是在陈独秀的关心、支持下翻译、出版的。陈望道着手翻译《共产党宣言》时,陈独秀从北大图书馆借来英文版《共产党宣言》,供其翻译时参照;当译稿脱手后,他又亲自审阅把关。为及时印行《共产党宣言》,陈独秀积极筹措出版经费。陈独秀不仅是《共产党宣言》的重要传播者,而且把《共产党宣言》作为筹建中国共产党的指导思想。
The Chinese translation of the Communist Manifesto is translated and published under the care and support of Chen Duxiu. When Chen Wangdao started to translate the “Communist Manifesto,” Chen Duxiu borrowed the English version of the “Communist Manifesto” from the Peking University Library for reference in his translation. When the manuscript was sold, he personally reviewed the check. In order to print the “Communist Manifesto” in a timely manner, Chen Duxiu actively raised funds for publication. Chen Duxiu is not only an important communicator of the “Communist Manifesto,” but also takes the “Communist Manifesto” as the guiding ideology for the construction of the CPC.
