1969年3月,党的第九次代表大会就要召开了,党代表相继来到北京。徐海东没有接到出席会议的通知。这位党的第八次代表大会选出的中央委员,和许多被打倒的中央委员一样,被剥夺了出席代表大会的资格,尽管报纸上没登消息、电台没广播,人们还是听说了党的“九大”将在4月1日开幕。
In March 1969, the Ninth Congress of the Party was about to convene, and the party representatives came to Beijing one after another. Xu Haidong did not receive notice of attendance. The Central Committee, elected by the 8th National Party Congress, was deprived of the right to attend the Congress, as many members of the Central Committee, who had been overthrown.
