In the history of the workers’ movement in Shanghai in the 1920s, there were three strikes in silk mills that had a larger impact on scale, in 1924, 1926 and 1927, respectively. In the spring of 1927, the organized and planned formation of trade unions was organized. Both of these workers’ movements are closely linked with Yang Zhihua, and they also reflect the twentieth-century Yang Zhihua’s honed experience of growing up in the struggle. Many of the historical materials mentioned in this article have rarely appeared in related monographs published. Therefore, the relevant content of the “strike by Yang Zhihua and Shanghai Silk Factory” filled a gap in the history of the Workers’ Movement and the Movement of Women in Shanghai. Yang Zhihua first contacted female worker Zhai Mu Zhiying and established a profound sisterhood with a group of female workers in the revolutionary struggle
