One hundred and fourteen children with epilepsy underwent single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) cerebral perfusion imaging during the seizure interval and compared with EEG, brain CT and MRI. The results showed that the positive rate of SPECT cerebral blood flow imaging was 82.7%, the positive rates of EEG, CT and MRI were 50.4%, 18.4% and 32.1% respectively. EEG abnormalities, SPECT cerebral perfusion imaging often also have abnormalities, the positioning of the two consistent and the relative consistency rate was 78.1% (25/32). Focal cerebral CT appears abnormal, SPECT cerebral blood flow imaging will also have the corresponding parts of the anomaly. Description of SPECT cerebral blood flow imaging in the detection and localization of epileptic foci have some value.
