作者对110例变应性和血管舒缩性鼻炎进行了检查。采用Bryans棉拭子法取鼻分泌液,拭子一端是用棉卷着的涂药器。沿鼻底下鼻甲之下放入,如鼻内无分泌物则将拭子留置于鼻内约5分钟,以刺激粘膜引起反射性分泌,然后将鼻分泌液涂抹于玻片上。将玻片置于95%乙醇和乙醚混合液中15至90分钟,进行固定。对嗜酸性细胞和中性白细胞最满意的染色是Lillie的天蓝A,伊红B;氨基甲苯蓝(toluidine blue)对肥大细胞染色最好;杯状细胞用PAS方法染色。亦可用Wright染剂,但结果不如Lillie的天蓝A和伊红B恒定。结果:110例患者中,包括变应性鼻炎79例,
The authors examined 110 allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. Nasal secretions were obtained using the Bryans cotton swab method. One end of the swab was a cotton applicator. Put it under the nose and under the inferior turbinate. If there is no nasal secretions, place the swab in the nose for about 5 minutes to stimulate the mucous membrane to produce reflex secretion. Then smear the nasal secretions on the glass slide. The slide is fixed in a mixture of 95% ethanol and diethyl ether for 15 to 90 minutes. The most satisfactory staining for eosinophils and neutrophils was Azure A and Eosin B from Lillie; toluidine blue best staining for mast cells; goblet cells were stained with PAS. Wright dyes are also available but the result is not as constant as Lillie’s Azure A and Eosin B. Results: Of the 110 patients, including 79 cases of allergic rhinitis,
