省港人很爱国,他们对中国古算在中、小学数学教育中的意义相当重视。在香港数学教育学会出版的《数学教育》(1998年12月)书评栏中特别提到了由中国青年出版社出版,徐品方编著的《数学诗歌题解》一书,书评写得十分中肯而有份量: “《数学诗歌题解》是笔者迄今所见介绍数学诗歌最齐备的一本书,书中不仅介绍中国古代与数学有关的诗歌,也介绍外国的古代数学诗歌。这些诗歌
The Hong Kong people in the province are very patriotic. They attach great importance to the significance of ancient Chinese mathematics education in primary and secondary schools. In the “Mathematical Education” (December 1998) book review column published by the Hong Kong Society for Mathematics Education, he specifically mentions “The Book of Mathematical Poetics” edited by Xu Qingfang published by China Youth Publishing House. The book review is very pertinent and has weight: “The “Analysis of Maths and Poems” is the most complete book on mathematics poetry I have seen so far. It not only introduces ancient Chinese poetry related to mathematics, but also introduces foreign ancient mathematics poetry.
