A new method is presented to achieve control over chaotic motion in the perturbed planar Hamiltonian system using notch filter output feedback control.Based on Melnikov ’ s Method which is perturbation criteria for chaos,the suitable pa-rameters of notch filter are computed to direct the chaotic mo-tion towards desired low-period motion.And numerical simula-tion results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of Melnikov’ s analysis.
