爱德华·阿尔比对美国戏剧叙事传统的反叛和颠覆,表现在内容上,即将戏剧作为辩论的场所,以苛刻的态度嘲讽美国社会从上至下的“美国梦”;表现在形式上,即以先锋性、实验性、革新性解构美国戏剧的叙事模式。阿尔比通过语言游戏、时空观的蒙太奇、情节叙事的不确定性,解构传统戏剧叙事模式,重构现代先锋剧的叙事模式。阿尔比戏剧通过形式与内容的解构,颠覆传统戏剧的审美观,挑战后现代背景下的人们普遍意义上的伦理观、价值观,其目的在于表达对恶的焦虑和反思。
Edward Albi’s rebellion and subversion of the narrative tradition of American drama is manifested in content, that is, using theater as a venue for debate and harshly sarcastic “American dream” from the top to the bottom in American society; in terms of form, That is to pioneer, experimental and innovative deconstruction of the narrative mode of American drama.
