吴泽霖先生(1898—1990)是我国著名的社会学家、民族学家、人类学家和民俗学家。他早年毕业于清华学堂,1992年赴美留学,1927年获博士学位,旋即经欧洲回国,先后任大夏大学、西南联大、清华大学等校教授,解放后分别就职于中央民族学院、西南民族学院和中南民族学院,并兼任中国社会科学院民族研究所研究员,被南开大学、贵州民族学院等校聘为兼职教授,还是中国社会学会、中国民族学会、中国人类学会、中国民俗学会等全国性学术团体的顾问。
Mr. Wu Zelin (1898-1990) is a famous sociologist, ethnologist, anthropologist and folklorist in our country. He graduated from Tsinghua University in his early years, went to the United States in 1992 to study in the United States, received a doctorate in 1927, and immediately returned to Europe. He successively served as a professor at DaXia University, the Southwest Associated University, and Tsinghua University. After his liberation, he worked for the Central Ethnic Institute, Southwest Nationalities Institute And South China Institute of Nationalities, and is also a researcher at the Institute of Ethnology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Nankai University, Guizhou Institute of Nationalities and other schools hired as part-time professor, or Chinese Society of Sociology, Chinese Society of Ethnology, Chinese Society of Anthropology, China Folklore Society and other national academic groups Consultant.
