作为一种跨文化交际,翻译的准确性在于把握原文的语用用意及其文化意蕴。通过对翻译专业学生典型译例的分析指出,没有正确把握原文语用意义和对英汉两种语言文化差异的不恰当处理是导致翻译中语用失误的主要原因。语用翻译而非语义翻译才是实现翻译等效的正确途径。
As an intercultural communication, the accuracy of translation lies in grasping the pragmatic intention of the original text and its cultural implication. Through the analysis of the typical translation examples of translation majors, it is pointed out that failure to correctly grasp the meaning of the original text and inappropriate handling of the cultural differences between English and Chinese are the main reasons for the pragmatic failure in translation. Pragmatic translation rather than semantic translation is the right way to achieve translation equivalence.
