华佗是古代名医之一,相传是我国最早的外科手术专家中医尊他为“外科鼻祖”。美国的药学史学家拉瓦尔在其《药学四千年》中写道:“一些阿拉伯权威提到的吸人性麻醉可能是从中国传人的,因为据说‘中国的希波克拉底’——华佗就曾经应用这一技术,把一些含有乌头、曼陀罗及其它草药的混合物,应用于此。”华佗的伟大之处在于他开天辟地的创新精神,正是这种精神推动着中医不断前进。
