Li Keran (1907-1989), a master of Chinese painting, one of the most influential art masters of the twentieth century, and an outstanding art educator. Before his death, he was a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, president of the Chinese Painting Research Institute, vice chairman of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the ACFIC Committee, and member of the 5th, 6th and 7th CPPCC National Committee.
