野豌豆属(Vicia L.)是豆科中具有较高经济价值的植物,它既可食用,又是优良的牧草和绿肥作物。在天然草场上分布较广,枝叶繁茂,绿色体及种子中粗蛋白质的含量可高达30％,是家畜的良好饲料。因此,本属中的大多数种在改良天然草场,建立人工草场上,是颇有发展前途的牧草。目前,我国及世界各国均有栽培。
Vicia L. is a legume plant with high economic value. It is both edible and excellent forage and green manure crops.
