This article examines the impact of diverse international languages on Mexican official texts that advocate the acceptance of a culturally diverse utopia as a new method of imagining a national community. The analysis received support for a case of ethnography, which confirmed that Indigenous peoples would use such languages in order to secure a better position in this emerging pattern. In contrast with the notion of “post-state”, which dominates the global literature, the official and popular discourses described in the case studies show that while the obligatory duty of a single nation to reconcile supranational forces and institutions, The top priority in struggling to define the subjectivity and status of the community remains at the national level. These struggles reflect the conflicts between utopias in the same ethnic group and utopias in multicultural countries. Such conflicts are the tacit and negotiation negotiations between the three types of actors, the international agencies, the elite of the government and the local community.
