I. EARLY STUDIES Czechoslovakia’s scientific study of Mongolia and China began with the great patriot of our country, Mr. V. Nafplite (1826-1894). His old home in Prague has now been converted to the Asian-African Cultural Museum under his own name. In those days, Czech travelers like to gather here after returning home from all over the world and bring with them precious nationalities and cultural relics from all over the world. C. Silillé (1843-1906) is a talented linguist and Indian expert who speaks many foreign languages, including Mongolian. He is one of the frequent visitors to Nafplik.
