贺绿汀(1934年-1999)出生在湖南邵东县一个贫苦农民家庭。他是中国当代著名的作曲家、音乐理论家、音乐教育家和音乐活动家。他率先叩开了中国钢琴作品通向世界的大门,其《牧童短笛》成为中国钢琴音乐史上的里程碑;他率先为中国电影作曲配乐,创作的《春天里》、《天涯歌女》、《四季歌》等历经半个多世纪仍为民众所喜爱;他翻译出版的《和声学理论与实用》是第一部完整系统地将欧洲和声理论引进中国的译著;他创作的(游击队之歌)鼓舞无数青年奔赴抗日前线。他一生成就了三部大合唱、六部歌剧、近二百首歌曲、二十七部电影音乐等,很多都是传世之作。他著述的二百八十多篇(部)音乐理论文章、专著和述评,对中国现代音乐事业的繁荣和发展产生了巨大影响。 贺绿汀长期担任中国音协副主席、上海音协主席、上海音乐学院院长、教授职务,多次参加国际音乐活动。1983年,他被国际音乐理事会选为终身荣誉会员.是中国第一位获此殊荣的音乐家。
He Luting (1934-1999) was born in a poor peasant family in Shaodong County, Hunan Province. He is a famous contemporary Chinese composer, music theorist, music educator and music activist. He took the lead in opening the door to the world of Chinese piano works. His “Piccolo” was a milestone in the history of piano music in China. He took the lead in composing music for Chinese movies, “Spring in Spring”, “Song of the End of the World,” “ ”Is still popular with the people for more than half a century. His translation and publication“ Theory and Practicality of Harmony ”is the first translation of a complete and systematic introduction of European harmony theory into China. The song“ Guerrillas ” ) Encouraged countless youth went to the anti-Japanese front. His lifetime achievements of the three chorus, six operas, nearly 200 songs, twenty-seven movie music, many are handed down for. His more than 280 articles, monographs and commentary on music theory have had a tremendous impact on the prosperity and development of the modern music industry in China. He Luting served as vice chairman of China Music Association, Shanghai Music Association chairman, Shanghai Conservatory of Music Dean, professor positions, participated in many international music events. He was voted a lifelong honorary member by the International Council of Music in 1983 and is the first Chinese musician to receive this award.
