HB型高效干燥剂是中科院上海冶金研究所发明的目前国际上最优良气体干燥剂之一,已申请发明专利(中国专利局申请号86101504)。由上海冶金研究所监制,无锡高速分析仪器厂生产。高效干燥剂效果远比无水高氯酸镁优越,后者仅能使气体露点降至-50~60℃,而高效干燥剂可使气体露点降至—90℃(0.03ppm),其吸水的重量可达30%,始终保持疏松状态,气阻较小,而且随着吸水量增加气阻却不象无水高氯酸镁一样增加,反而有所下降,在0.05kg cm~(-2)的氮气压力下,通过直径为φ2厘米,高12.5厘米的干燥管,每分钟流量可达1升以上,完全能满足大部分应用领域的需要。吸水前后干燥剂的颜色由淡麦片变成深金黄色,故极易判别吸收
