根据小波的多分辨率特性，提出了解决图象数据管理的解决方案，并开发出基于小波的图像数据管理系统。该系统实现了图象数据管理的自动化；通过小波算法完整集成了图象数据管理存储、分类、检索和传输的各个环节。高质量的图象压缩编码技术可以节省大量存储资源，灵活的传输机制可大大降低网络带宽需求。提出的基于内容的图象检索引擎可以在大型图像数据库中快速定位特定的图象
According to the multi-resolution characteristics of wavelet, a solution to image data management is proposed and a wavelet-based image data management system is developed. The system realizes the automation of the image data management. It fully integrates the image data management storage, classification, retrieval and transmission through the wavelet algorithm. High-quality image compression coding technology can save a lot of storage resources, flexible transmission mechanism can greatly reduce the network bandwidth requirements. The proposed content-based image retrieval engine can quickly locate a particular image in a large image database
