[Target Guidance] The Renaissance and the Enlightenment Movement are both anti-feudal liberation movements of the new bourgeoisie. The Renaissance promoted humanism and the Enlightenment further emphasized human reason. Both are necessary requirements of capitalist economy and political development. In turn, they will surely clear the way for capitalist politics and economic development. The characteristics of the capitalist commodity economy determine people’s pursuit of personal liberty and political democracy. In the political field, the British bourgeois revolution, the American Revolutionary War, and the French Revolution broke out one after another and established capital in these countries.
