PMI:8月达51.1%,为年内次高点2014年8月,中国制造业采购经理指数(PMI)为51.1%,比上月回落0.6个百分点,连续5个月回升后出现回调,但仍为2014年以来的次高点,表明我国制造业总体上继续保持增长态势。从企业规模看,大型企业PMI为51.9%,比上月回落0.7个百分点,位于临界点以上,为2014年以来的次高点,是制造业继续保持增长的主要支撑力量;中型企业PMI为49.9%,比上月下降0.2个百分点,连续4个月高于临界点后,本月降至临界点以下;小型企业PMI为49.1%,比上月下降1.0个百分点,又重回收缩区间。
PMI: 51.1% in August, the second-highest in the year. In August 2014, China’s manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) was 51.1%, down 0.6% from the previous month. After a five-month pick-up, The second highest since 2014, indicating that China’s manufacturing industry as a whole continued to maintain its growth momentum. From the perspective of firm size, the PMI of large-scale enterprises was 51.9%, down 0.7 percentage point from the previous month and above the critical point, the second-highest since 2014, which is the major supporting force for the manufacturing industry to maintain its growth. The PMI for medium-sized enterprises was 49.9 %, Down 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. After four consecutive months of surging above the critical point, it dropped below the critical point this month. The PMI for small business was 49.1%, down 1.0 percentage point from the previous month and returned to the contraction zone.
