The blank-filling question is an important question type in junior high school English. It integrates the usage and collocation of word-setting, word discrimination, grammar, single-sentence comprehension, discourse comprehension, etc. It not only examines candidates’ language knowledge level, but also tests candidates. The ability to analyze and judge, and the practical ability to use linguistic knowledge in a comprehensive manner; it is also the basis for completing quiz questions. This type of question requires the candidate to select the best option from a given number of words or phrases and fill in the blanks in the correct form. However, when the examinee is doing this type of question, the method is often improper, and thus the scoring is very serious.
