花棒是我国近几十年来筛选出的优良固沙植物。现已广泛用于甘肃、宁夏、陕西、内蒙古等省(区)的荒漠、半荒漠和干草原地带的流沙固定,成效极为显著。 花棒种子野鼠极为喜食(主要是跳鼠和米仓),生产上进行的花棒种子直播,常因鼠害而招致失败。因此,防鼠害是花棒直播能否成功的关键之一。 针对上述问题,我们于1970—1973年,在毛乌素沙地的南缘,陕西省靖边县的沙石峁林场,高5—10m的新月形沙丘链的迎风坡上,对花棒直播的种子的鼠害问题进行了试验。兹将其试验方法、结果、评述于下:
