1998年12月26日,我们来到茂名市茂南区新坡镇黄塘村民委员会筲箕塘村民小组的陈郁祥家。96岁高龄的陈郁祥老人躬着腰,由他儿子搀扶着从简陋的住房里慢慢地走出来,坐在低矮的小木凳上。在温暖的阳光下,他那布满皱纹和老人斑的面容,显得十分慈祥。寒喧几句之后,我们把一张彩色照片递到老人的面前。我们问他:“您认得照片上的人吗?”老人接到照片,慢慢端详了好一会儿,然后用沙哑的声音说:“是我。”我们又问他:“您记得那天是干什么吗?”老人沉默了一下,慢慢地,老人的脸上魔术般出现了灿烂的笑容。他一边点头,一边连声说:“选举好啊!大家都好啊!”
On December 26, 1998, we came to Chen Yu-hsiang, Shau Kei Tong Villager’s Group at Huangtang Village Committee, Xinpo Town, Maonan District, Maoming City. Chen Yu-hsiang, a 96-year-old man, was bowed over by his son and walked slowly out of shabby housing and sat on a low wooden bench. In the warm sunshine, his face full of wrinkles and age spots, looked very kind. After a few words, we handed a color photo to the elderly. We asked him: “Do you recognize the people on the photo?” The old man took the photo and looked slowly for a moment, then said in a husky voice: “It’s me.” We asked him again: Remember that day is doing? “The elderly silent for a moment, slowly, the magic of the old man appeared a brilliant smile. As he nodded, he kept saying: ”The election is good! Everyone is good!"
