18世纪以来,人类逐步进入工业社会。科技进步给人们带来了很多利益但也破坏了自然环境。19世纪中后期,美国兴起了自然资源保护运动。截止到20世纪60年代,环境问题变的严重,人与自然的矛盾也产生,作为美国海洋生物学家和作家,蕾切尔·卡逊出现于大众的视线。人类的环境问题引起大众广泛关注正是通过这部作品。同时也促进了生态女性主义的发展,这不仅是她的生态文学的代表,作为一部文学作品也是一个经典。
Since the 18th century, mankind has gradually entered the industrial society. Technological progress has brought many benefits to people but also destroyed the natural environment. In the mid-to-late 19th century, the United States started a natural resource conservation movement. As of the 1960s, environmental problems have become grave and conflicts between man and nature have also taken place. As a marine biologist and writer in the United States, Rachel Carson appears in the public eye. It is through this work that human environmental problems have caused widespread public concern. It also promotes the development of ecofeminism, which is not only the representative of her ecological literature, but also a classic as a literary work.
