Paramax’s research into the development of sensor-grade hard-fusion systems for the Canadian Patrol Frigate (CPF) is underway in a simulation environment provided by the Combat Systems Test and Support Facility (CSTSF). In contrast to data fusion systems, a large number of operational guidelines have been chosen to assess and compare the performance of CPF’s Command and Control System (CCS). These guidelines have an impact on tracking and identification in terms of timeliness and accuracy. Since this work has been done in a simulation environment, the basic truth of the goal (offline in the current implementation) can be obtained. Some guidelines have been calculated and displayed in real time, while those that require access to basic truths have been evaluated offline. This article introduces and discusses a subset of performance assessment guidelines, as well as an implementation comment.
