Zhu Jiang graduated from Southwest Petroleum Institute in February 1982 and joined the mechanic workshop of Bohai Oil Drilling Company in the same year. Over the past 30 years, she has been working from the grassroots level to the forefront of research and design of offshore oil development step by step. Today, Zhu Jiang, director of the R & D center of CNOOC Research Institute, still maintains the true nature of an ordinary technician. She is still most concerned about “producing more oil for the country and adopting better oil.” As the first female project manager for the development of offshore oil, Zhujiang presided over the completion of 53 major sea areas including the Bohai Sea, the East China Sea and the South China Sea
