随着市场经济的发展,社会对人才需求向复合型、应用型转化,高等职业教育已成为现代高等教育的重要组成部分。而英语在社会对素质人才的要求中所占的地位愈加突出。大学英语四级考试是全国规模大学生英语水平的测试,具有极高的信度和效度,大学生四级通过率也成为衡量学校教学水平的标志之一。因此高职院校的英语教学也应根据自身特点,针对教学实践中的问题,采取教学改革,提高教学质量和四级通过率,实现高职人才培养目标。
With the development of the market economy, society has turned its demand for talent into a complex and applied type. Higher vocational education has become an important part of modern higher education. However, English occupies more and more prominent role in the demand of quality talents in society. CET-4 is a test of English level of college students nationwide, with high reliability and validity. The passing rate of CET-4 has become one of the hallmarks of school teaching. Therefore, the English teaching in higher vocational colleges should also take the teaching reform according to its own characteristics and in the teaching practice to improve the quality of teaching and the passing rate of the fourth grade, so as to realize the goal of higher vocational personnel training.
