Interleukin 6 (IL6) is a cytokine that plays an important immunomodulatory role and is mainly secreted by activated mononuclear macrophages. Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) is an autoimmune disease mediated by both cellular and humoral immunity. The report of GBS serum IL6 level in children has not been seen in China. I used enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) 23
