These fruit flies are found repeatedly in sporadic calamities in California, and once spread, will lead to local Economic losses from the production of fruits and vegetables and, because of their presence, are bound to embargo fruit and vegetables in the region or to make international trade and those products transported between the states of the United States forced to undergo quarantine treatment.
