我会成立于一九七六年。自八○年省科协二大以来,特别是我会三大以后,我们在省科协和省建材局领导下,在中国硅酸盐学会指导下,紧紧依靠全体理事和广大会员,共同努力,大胆探索,积极改革,制定出七种行之有效的工作制度,进行了五个方面的改革,使学会工作的内容更加充实,制度更加完善,活动更富有成效。五年来,我会及所属委员会共举办学术交流、学术讨论会三十二次,参加人数达三千余人次;交流论文三百余篇,评出优秀论文四十三篇;举办各类培训班、讲习班十五期,培训人数达七百余人次;完成科技咨询项目十九个;出版《山西硅酸盐》二十二期,编辑资料汇编、优秀
