Electromagnetic induction mine detection technology Electronic induction method can only detect mines containing metal parts. The detector with electronic induction uses two coils. The first coil has a current passing through it, producing a time-varying magnetic field. The metal parts of mines generate secondary magnetic fields in this magnetic field-induced eddy current. The secondary coil is used to detect the secondary magnetic field. The presence of landmines can be determined. At present, single-armed handheld and vehicle-mounted mine detectors often use the principle of electromagnetic induction. The “Sonbo” system being developed by the Canadian company Schlepper, based on the handheld AN-192 detector technology, uses a linear array of multiple coils and mounts the coils on the base to ensure that it is on various terrains. Keep contact with the ground so that mines containing less metal can be found. The system can operate at a speed of 10 km/h and scan a range of 2 to 6 meters wide.
