水墨动画作为国产动画的创新之举,突破了动画片常用的单线平涂单调的造型技法,把中国水墨画特有的笔情墨趣运用于动画之中,创造出了一种独特的动画造型方式,是国产动画发展史上的一次成功飞跃,是中国民族化探索的典范。把水墨画引入到动画制作中,不仅只是在于增加了动画表现样式,更重要的是“写意精神”在动画中的渗透,对表现对象“传神”的追求,注重意境的营造,独特的构图理念等美的追求都影响了水墨动画的创作和审美趋向。
