首届海峡两岸现代汉语问题学术研讨会于2005年11月4日至7日在天津南开大学举行。此次大会由中国社会科学院语言研究所和南开大学联合主办,南开大学文学院承办,商务印书馆协办,来自祖国大陆、台湾、香港和澳门地区及新加坡的学者参加了会议。开幕式由南开大学周荐主持,南开大学副校长兼文学院院长陈洪致开幕词。中国社会科学院语言研究所副所长董琨、台湾中研院语言学研究所所长郑锦全、教育部语信司司长李宇明在开幕式上讲话。他们表示,此次大会的召开是与时俱进地发展所带来的诉求。大会为两岸四地的学者们提供了相互了解、相互理解的学术
The First Cross-Strait Symposium on Modern Chinese was held at Tianjin Nankai University from November 4 to November 7, 2005. The conference was jointly sponsored by the Institute of Language Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Nankai University. Sponsored by the Faculty of Arts of Nankai University and the Commercial Press, scholars from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, and Singapore attended the conference. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhou Kai, Nankai University, Chen Hong, vice president of Nankai University and Dean of the Faculty of Arts. Dong Kun, deputy director of Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zheng Jinquan, director of the Institute of Linguistics at Taiwan’s Academia Sinica, and Li Yuming, director of the Ministry of Education’s letter and letter department, addressed the opening ceremony. They said that the convening of the conference is an appeal brought by the development of keeping pace with the times. The conference provides academics who understand each other and understand each other for scholars across the Taiwan Strait
