我国文坛著名学者王任叔(笔名巴人)是20世纪30年代在国民党黑暗统治下参加“文学研究会”和“左联”、用犀利的笔锋进行战斗的宿将。令人痛心的是这样一位在国内外享有盛名、德高望重的文艺家,在“文革”十年浩劫中竟惨遭“四人帮”迫害,折磨致死。临终前他留下一句令人心碎的话:“遗憾的是不能完成我希望搞的《印尼历史》,也是对人民欠下的一笔债!”
