2005年2月13-17日,第七届阿布扎比国际防务展在阿拉伯联合酋长国首都阿布扎比举行。首届阿布扎比防务展于1993年开始举办,此后每两年举办一次。本届展览会吸引了来自美国、俄罗斯、法国、德国、西班牙等50个国家的900余家武器研制与生产厂商,中国北方工业公司、船舶工业贸易公司等7家公司也参加了本届防务展。开幕式上举行了机动车辆表演,数十辆装甲输送车、载重卡车和轻型轮式战车现场演示了爬坡、越障和涉水等功能。展会还设立了实弹射击场,采购人员或业内人士可以通过发射实弹进一步了解武器性能。
February 13-17, 2005, the Seventh Abu Dhabi International Defense Exhibition was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The first Abu Dhabi Defense Exhibition was held in 1993 and held every two years thereafter. The exhibition attracted more than 900 weapons research and manufacturing companies from 50 countries including the United States, Russia, France, Germany and Spain, and seven companies including North China Industrial Corporation and the shipping industry trading company participated in this Defense Exhibition . A motor show was held at the opening ceremony, with dozens of armored carriers, trucks and light wheeled vehicles demonstrating climbing, obstacle crossing and wading. The show also set up a live firing range, the procurement staff or practitioners can launch a live firearm to further understand the performance of weapons.
