胡主席反复强调,要弘扬求真务实精神,大兴求真务实之风,把工作着力点放在抓工作落实上。求真务实,是辩证唯物主义和历史唯物主义一以贯之的科学精神,也是党的优良传统和共产党人应该具备的政治品格。各级领导干部要适应形势和任务需要,必须带头践行求真务实要求,以求真务实的作风,推动部队建设和改革的创新发展。正确的政绩观和科学的发展观是求真务实的基础。政绩观和发展观是领导干部执政理念的直接反映,有什么样的政绩观和发展观,就有什么样的工作追求和施政行为。有的同志,一事当前不考虑部队建设和工作成本,总是算计个人得失,习惯做表面文章,自觉不自觉地搞“形象工程”、“政绩
President Hu repeatedly emphasized that we must carry forward the spirit of seeking truth and being pragmatic and vigorously promote the wind of seeking truth and being pragmatic. We should focus our efforts on implementing the work. Being realistic and pragmatic is a consistent scientific spirit of dialectical materialism and historical materialism. It is also the fine tradition of the party and the political character that communists should possess. To adapt themselves to the needs of the situation and their tasks, leading cadres at all levels must take the lead in practicing the requirements of seeking truth and being pragmatic and seek truth and being pragmatic in order to promote the innovation and development of army building and reform. The correct view of political achievements and scientific development are the basis of seeking truth and being pragmatic. The concept of political achievement and the concept of development are the direct reflection of the concept of governing cadres. What kind of job pursuits and administrative actions are there in regard to the concept of achievements and development? Some comrades do not consider the cost of unit building and work nowadays. They always make personal gains and losses and are accustomed to making superficial articles. They consciously and unconsciously engage in ”image engineering“ and ”political achievements
