人的心脏是个锥形立体结构,心脏活动是立体的变化。心电图仅显现这个变化在一个面上的投影,而心电向量图则能显示在三个面上的投影。因此,心电向量图能较真实地诊断心脏功能。心电向量图机是诊断心室、心房肥大、传导阻滞及心肌梗死的一种重要仪器,并且能为早期诊断冠心病提供重要依据。它用三只示波管同时显示心脏搏动在三个面上的投影,所以一次拍摄就能完成心脏搏动一次 P—QRS—T 周期向量图,在临床诊断上有较大的参考价值。
