摩托罗拉公司(Motorola)最近与天津经济技术开发区签署建立一家新制造厂的协议,新工厂将主要生产汽车半导体产品,以迎合中国汽车市场需求。新工厂预计将分期建设,一期工程将于2004年末完成,占地约200000平方英尺。据介绍,新工厂将毗邻摩托罗拉目前的天津制造厂。该工厂最快将于2005年投产,主要为摩托罗拉的汽车电子业务生产发动机控制单元、内部电子、远程信息处理和动力产品。该工厂还将为摩托罗拉嵌入式计算机以及能量系统业务配备生产线。
Motorola recently signed an agreement with Tianjin Economic & Technological Development Area to set up a new manufacturing plant that will mainly produce automotive semiconductor products to meet the needs of the Chinese automotive market. The new plant is expected to be built in stages and the first phase will be completed by the end of 2004 and occupies about 200,000 square feet. According to reports, the new factory will be adjacent to Motorola’s current Tianjin factory. The plant will be commissioned as soon as 2005, mainly for the production of engine control units, internal electronics, telematics and power products for Motorola’s automotive electronics business. The plant will also be equipped with production lines for the Motorola Embedded Computer and Energy Systems business.
